As a quick fix. no reboot needed. On all your cluster nodes

Open each hosts console and run

modprobe nf_conntrack
echo nf_conntrack >> /etc/modules

Proxmox adding missing LVM thin Pool

When adding another node to the proxmox cluster and the LVM is missing it is not possible to add it correctly over the web interface. But here is how it works.

lsblk
vgcreate pve /dev/sdc
lvcreate -L 30G -n data pve
lvconvert --type thin-pool pve/data

delete the VLM (just in case you need it)

lvchange -an /dev/data/data

Start-up folder on Windows Server

On Windows Server is can be a hassle to find the start-up folder/autostart folder. Quick shortcut: Win Key + R -> shell:startup

Proxmox daily snapshot

This script creates a snapshot of every VM on the PVE or PVE cluster

#!/bin/bash

SNAP=/usr/local/bin/cv4pve-autosnap

SNAP_KEEP_DAILY=10
SNAP_HOST=10.10.10.10

$SNAP --host=$SNAP_HOST --username=root@pam --password='topsecret' --vmid=all snap --label='_daily_' --keep=$SNAP_KEEP_DAILY

Tag: VM
